Marvin Stern
Marvin Stern was called to the bar of Manitoba in 1980. From 1980-1983 he worked as a crown prosecutor in the city of Winnipeg. In 1984 Marvin was called to the bar of British Columbia, where he continued his work as a crown counsel in the Vancouver area from 1984 until 1988. Since 1988 Marvin has worked in private practice in the Lower Mainland in the areas of Criminal Law and Personal Injury.
While he has appeared in a wide variety of legal matters, Marvin’s emphasis in Criminal Law has been on cases involving impaired driving and drug-related offences. He has appeared in all levels of court up to and including the Supreme Court of Canada, and has been a speaker at continuing legal education seminars, teaching other lawyers on the topic of defending impaired driving cases.
